Vista Radio launched a new radio station in Creston over the summer.

94.1 Juice FM – Creston’s Greatest Hits, launched at 1:00 pm on August 7th, 2015 from the studios located at 1230 Canyon Street.

94.1 Juice FM will offer a Greatest Hits music format from the 60s, 70s, and 80s featuring Elton John, Queen, Eagles, ABBA, Supertramp, Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles, Rod Stewart, Foreigner and more.

The move makes Creston one of the Kootenays busiest radio markets.  BellMedia's EZ Rock franchise broadcasts in Creston at AM 1340, and in addition to the faithful fellow garnered by CBC, Creston has a vibrant community radio station that is on the air as CIDO 97.7.

“We are very excited to provide the Creston Valley and surrounding area with its very own station,” said Steve Huber, General Manager of 94.1 Juice FM. “Vista has a great reputation for exceptional live and local radio in each of the markets we serve. Building on our tradition of being a community first station, 94.1 Juice FM will provide Creston with hourly news throughout the week along with local sports, weather, road reports and community events. You will also see our team in the community getting involved with charities and local events making 94.1 Juice FM the go-to source for what is happening.”

94.1 Juice FM has hired Morning Show Host, Steve Morrison; News Reporter/Afternoon Host, Kris Dickeson and Sales Executive Rachele Justus. Weekend programming will be handled by several part-time employees. All staff are from the Creston Valley. 94.1 Juice FM is joining several existing Vista stations in Nelson, Castlegar and Grand Forks in providing the best local radio service in the region.

The transmitter is located just west of Creston on the CBC radio tower. At just under 3000 watts, we have the power to reach as far north as Crawford Bay, as far east as Yahk, up to the Salmo Creston summit and we’ll also penetrate into the US.

Vista Radio operates 38 radio stations (and growing) across 67 transmitters located in three provinces and the Northwest Territories. Last year, Vista Radio generated more than 1.5 million dollars for local charities and donated more than 50,000 commercials to charity and community organizations.
