New Holiday Inn Express Hotel under construction in Golden

Construction is underway of Golden's newest hotel, a Holiday Inn Express.

An ownership group headed up Harj Sandher based out of Kamloops, where they already own a Holiday Inn Express, is building a new Holiday Inn Express hotel in Golden.

Located along Golden busy Highway #1 commercial corridor the new hotel is anticipated to be finished later this summer or early fall.

Though not confirmed the Holiday Inn Express model usually includes 100% non-smoking rooms, an indoor pool, Jacuzzi, modern fitness centre, free high-speed Internet access, spacious business-class rooms and a free Express Start Breakfast served every morning.

HR Pacific of Golden is the project co-ordinator and Dusk Building Systems of Invermere is doing much of the framing/structural building.

Construction started earlier this year and the ownership group eagerly anticipates the opening of their newest Holiday Inn Express and adding to the accommodation mix in the Golden region. Other contractors involved in the project include Evolution Pools and Spas and Radian Mechanical.
