The doors are open at Fernie’s newest retail outlet. The long awaited new Fernie Home Hardware store, built beside the existing Home Hardware building, welcomed its first customers in the latter part of August.

The store is owned and operated by Walter Ingram (pictured), his wife Heather and along with their son Ryan. The new store has more than 20,000 square feet of floor space.

With a goal of presenting a better shopping experience, the new Home Hardware is attractively laid out with many bright and spacious specialty departments like flooring, bath/plumbing, lighting, décor items, paint and much more.

There is also a new contractors entrance to accommodate builders and contractors by providing the most efficient professional service for them.

Watch for the Fernie Home Hardware official grand opening coming up in October.
