Creston's Northwest Boulevard is a busy place these days with a number of construction projects underway — like this one for a new Centex station. Centex Petroleum of Calgary is transforming the former Creston Auto and RV location into a new full line Centex gas and convenience store.

This high profile location should be ideal to capture Highway #3 traffic, before or after it travels the Kootenay Pass or travels to or from the Kootenay Lake Ferry. As well, the location is situated across from the busy Tim Hortons on the western edge of Creston.

Centex Petroleum is a Calgary-based independent fuel provider. You can find their stations in Alberta located in Calgary, Edmonton, Exshaw, Nisku, Peace River, and Walsh. The company also has stations in B.C. that are located in Windermere, Fairmont, Canal Flats, Kimberley, St. Eugene Mission and, of course, the newest location will in Creston.

Wayne Ford is Centex's project manager for the new Creston station.

According to their corporate messaging, "Centex is 100% Western Canadian owned and operated, 100% independent. By offering consistently competitive fuel prices, convenient locations, and a variety of services to people on the go — we're seen as a fresh alternative to the big guys."
