Based out of the Cranbrook Chamber of Commerce office, Marilyn Christensen is the administrator of a popular and continuing program by Live Smart BC.

The idea of the program is to do energy audits on businesses in the region and help them become more energy efficient. Marilyn Christensen is the new business energy advisor for the East Kootenay and will be heading up the provincially mandated small business energy saving program.

In partnership with BC Hydro and FortisBC, the Province of British Columbia is extending and improving its popular LiveSmart BC: Efficiency Incentive Program, where homeowners can receive more than $7,000 in rebates for energy-saving improvements and equipment beginning on or after April 1, 2011. To schedule your energy audit appointment call Marilyn Christensen at 250-426-5914. For more information about the program, see www.livesmartbc.ca
