New furniture store under construction in Castlegar

Construction is well underway in Castlegar, and the new City Furniture building located on busy Columbia Avenue (near the highway overpass), is rapidly approaching completion. The multi-story building will be three floors with a square footage of 1,504 square metres.

Like all other stores in the City Furniture group, the new store carries a full line of furniture and appliances. The new Castlegar outlet will include a full basement, main floor and mezzanine. Completion and opening is slated for early 2011.

Phil Markin of the City of Castlegar says building permits in Castlegar have nicely exceeded 2009 this year.
