The newly constructed building on Athalmer Road will not only house the Invermere Liquor Store but will welcome the re-located Mercato Pizzeria.

The popular eatery is owned and operated by Todd and Brenda Mitchell. Mitchell was the general manager at the Best Western Invermere Inn for many years.  Pizzeria Mercato serves Greek style panned pizza and Classic Italian style pizza.

The new retail plaza is located in front of the Canadian Tire and across from Kicking Horse Coffee directly on Invermere’s busy main entrance.

The pizzeria had been operating in Windermere for a number of years, but that location is now closed awaiting the construction of the new restaurant which will have 26 seats inside and an outside patio seating for 24.

According to the general manager, Ryan Haynes, the Invermere Liquor store should be open in April 2016—with Mercato Pizzeria slated for a spring opening as well.
