Kootenay Rockies Tourism Association (KRT) is embarking on a new direction that aligns with Destination BC's Provincial Corporate Strategy.

Greater emphasis will be placed on the planning and execution of Destination Development and Remarkable Experiences programs.  The organization will continue to promote the Kootenay Rockies region as a premier destination in British Columbia through the marketing tactics in the new Touring & Exploring program.  We will also continue to be active in Social Media, Travel Trade and Media Relations.

In order to facilitate the changes to the new ecosystem, our organization has made significant adjustments to its business model.  This includes changes to our organizational structure and a re-orientation of our team's roles to better align with the new program areas.

Below is a list of our full team with areas of responsibility identified by their designated titles.  A detailed contact list is also available on our business website - click HERE.

Kathy Cooper — CEO & Travel Trade
Wendy Van Puymbroeck — Manager of Business Development & Special Projects
Karen Cook — Publications & Web Specialist
Shannon Harrison — Business Advisor - Remarkable Experiences & Social Media
Emilie Cayer-Huard — Industry & Destination Development Specialist
Heidi Korven — Regional Media Relations Specialist
Bonnie Castle-Dixon — Financial Services & Operations Support
Corinne Crowder — Administrative Assistant

These changes are officially in effect as of April 1, 2016, which is the first day of our new fiscal year.  We are thrilled that our entire team will continue to work together with our regional tourism stakeholders.  We will seek new opportunities to connect with you and assist in driving more business to your establishments, to increase tourism revenues and to grow the regional product offer.
