Kootenay Rockies Tourism awards best marketing campaign of the year

Wendy Van Puymbroeck of Kootenay Rockies presents the best marketing campaign of the year to Ian Thorley of Bellstar Hotels and Resorts.

The best marketing campaign of the year in the Kootenay Rockies tourism region was recently awarded to Bellstar Hotels and Resorts for their STAY marketing campaign for the company's Kicking Horse Mountain Lodging in Golden.

The award recognized a business or organization that developed and implemented the year’s most innovative tourism marketing campaign or initiative. The award was presented to sales and manager director Ian Thorley based in Calgary.

Kicking Horse Lodging include the properties the Aspens at Kicking Horse, Glacier Mountaineer Lodge, Palliser Lodge and other vacation homes. The multi-media campaign saw a significant boost in bookings and reservations at the Bellstar Kicking Horse properties in Golden.

The award was presented during Kootenay Rockies Tourism AGM held at the Copperpoint Resort in Invermere.
