Manager Tim Harding and his staff at Trail’s Home Hardware recently celebrated an extensive store renovation with an official grand re-opening.

Over the last year, Home Hardware in Trail has undergone a $300,000 upgrade—the first in its 18 years of business—which includes an overhaul to its storefront, new high visibility signage and a new fireplace department along with an updated paint department and more extensive lumberyard.

The Trail location is privately owned by Jennifer McCallan and Patti Smith, who also own stores in Duncan, Whitehorse and Wetaskiwin, Alberta. The cost of the renovations is half covered by the corporate company, which still owns the Trail building. Home Hardware in Trail employs over 30 people.
