Greg Garbula has jumped into the political fray in the West Kootenay as the new candidate for the B.C. Liberal party in the Nelson-Creston riding. Greg was the longtime (16 years) vice-president and general manager of the Kokanee Springs Golf Resort on the East Shore of Kootenay Lake, until his departure last fall.

Greg started his career in the hospitality industry 35 years ago when he got his entry-level job in Banff/Lake Louise.

Through hard work and increased responsibility Greg learned from the ground up the holistic dynamic of happy customers, strong community and motivated employees.

Greg Garbula’s campaign manager, Sam Anderson, says, “Greg will be an ideal candidate for our MLA as he has a proven track record. He has been an active member of the Chamber of Commerce as well as a number of local boards. He has worked tirelessly in the tourism industry promoting our area. Greg well knows the numerous opportunities and challenges that affect this riding. He will utilize his work ethic for the economic improvement and successful betterment of our region.

"We look to you for your support and we are asking for your acknowledgment of your interest in helping to rejuvenate our region and provide a prosperous economy and a future for our children. We need to elect Greg Garbula as our new MLA to help revitalize our local riding,” Anderson said.
