We all need money to live in this society, but how much time do we spend thinking about how we use it, now and in the future?

Over the course of four Tuesdays this November at the Cranbrook Public Library, people can participate in a series of free financial seminars presented by a certified financial advisor to learn more about some common financial issues. Although the first seminar on estate planning took place on November 9, there is still space available for the remaining seminars.

November 16: Investments Demystified

GICs, stocks, bonds, real estate, mutual funds: what exactly are they? Participants will learn about the different types of investment out there.

November 23: Manage Your Money

Cash flow is the inflow and outflow of money over a period of time. This seminar provides tips on how people can manage their money to maximize what it can do.

November 30: Expecting the Unexpected

As people enter their golden years, they want to enjoy their retirement. However, unexpected health care and other costs can abruptly change peoples’ circumstances. This seminar looks at some of these costs and how to plan for them effectively.

Each seminar takes place in the Manual Training School at 1212 - 2nd Street North from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Call the library at 250-426-4063, or visit the circulation desk, to register today for one or more of these financial seminars.
