FortisBC announces appointment of Roger Dall’Antonia as new President and CEO

VANCOUVER, Dec. 7, 2017 /CNW/ - The FortisBC Board of Directors today announced the appointment of Roger Dall'Antonia as president and chief executive officer of FortisBC Inc. and FortisBC Energy Inc., effective immediately.

"We are pleased to announce Roger as the new president and CEO of the FortisBC group of companies," said Ida Goodreau, chair of the Board of Directors, FortisBC. "His broad experience and progressively expanding executive roles position him well to lead FortisBC's future growth."

Roger was born in Vancouver and raised in Penticton. He has since made his roots with his family on the West Coast of British Columbia.

Roger has more than 20 years of experience in the energy sector and joined FortisBC in 2004. Throughout the past 13 years, Roger has been trusted in many executive level leadership roles, including finance, strategic planning, regulatory affairs, and most recently, customer service, energy solutions, information systems, business innovation, and conservation and energy management. His matter-of-fact, sincere nature will continue to guide and support the business and its employees as they move into 2018 and beyond.

Today Fortis Inc. also announced that David Hutchens would take on the newly created role of executive vice-president, Western Utility Operations. In this expanded role, David will provide oversight to the corporation's western Canadian utility operations, including British Columbia, while continuing as president and CEO of Fortis Inc.'s utility business in Arizona.

"Roger's appointment to lead our B.C. operations, coupled with guidance from David, will support continuity around the execution of FortisBC's strategic plan and growth opportunities," said Barry Perry, president and CEO of Fortis Inc.
