First Wendy’s in the Kootenays coming to Cranbrook

After years of rumours and speculation, it's official; a Wendy's fast food restaurant is set to join the bevy of eateries on Cranbrook's busy strip.

The new franchise will be located on the empty lot between Willow Appliances and Cranbrook Harley-Davidson on Cranbrook Street North. A building permit was issued last week and construction should start almost immediately.

This will be Wendy's first foray into the Kootenays.
