The first ever Kootenay i-Tech tradeshow and luncheon was held on Wednesday in Nelson and Thursday in Cranbrook. By all accounts the event was deemed a great success with approximately 100 for lunch each day.

“It was a great opportunity for Kootenay companies to network and connect in the technology sector,” said Keith Powell, publisher of Kootenay Business and organizer of the event. “We had great support from our exhibitors, attendees and sponsors. I think I am safe to say that the event exceed a lot of expectation for a first time endeavor.”

Keynote speaker Amber Hayes gave the audience an overview of social media and venture capitalist Lyn Blanchard passed on her experience pertaining to obtaining start up funding for entrepreneurs.

With over 20 exhibitors participating at each location, Kootenay I-Tech was able to offer a variety of technology leaders in region who are involved in the various forms of new technology and consulting
