The Fernie Overwaitea Foods store recently re-opened as Save-On-Foods after an overnight conversion. The store, operated by the Overwaitea Food Group, was converted to the company’s most widely recognized banner to offer customers in Fernie the same great selection of products from the same world-class team, while adding value with programs and promotions that are unique to Save-On-Foods, including Darrell’s Deals, Talk About Savings, and Talk About What’s New.

The store also features a Save-On-Foods Kitchen, which provides fresh, made-in-store meal solutions such as rotisserie chicken, sandwiches, soup and a salad bar, and an enhanced deli offering with made-in-store sides and salads.

“Our friends and neighbours in Fernie have told us they want a Save-On-Foods in their town, and we listened,” said Save-On-Foods president Darrell Jones. “We are so excited to be able to offer this fantastic community the deals that have made Save-On-Foods a household name in British Columbia, as well as the province’s Most Loved Brand.”

The re-branding conversion took place at the end of November 2015. The store retains its longtime manager, Mark Lento and kept the same hours it did as an Overwaitea Foods for customers’ convenience.
