Don’t miss the Influential Women in Business Awards Luncheon!
There are now more than 800,000 women business owners in Canada.
All nominees of the Kootenay Influential Women In Business (IWIB) Awards will be honoured at luncheons in Cranbrook and Nelson. You are invited to attend!
In the past decade or so, there has been a 50 percent increase in the number of self-employed women in Canada. There are now more than 800,000 women business owners in Canada and the number of women-owned businesses is growing 60 percent faster than those run by men.
Kootenay Business recognizes that this trend is evident in the Kootenays as well, with a tremendous increase in women-owned and operated businesses throughout the region.
A call for nominations went out earlier in the year and dozens of women were nominated. Kootenay Business would like to congratulate all the nominees. At the upcoming Luncheon we will be presenting an award to six of the most Influential Kootenay Women in Business for 2016.
Live entertainment by CBC Searchlight contestant Dawson Rutledge.
