Master negotiator and business consultant, David Savage of Cranbrook has released a new book called Break Through To Yes: Unlocking the Possible within a Culture of Collaboration.

“Every day, someone tells me that we must stop the anger, derision, and separation that is too common in our conversations, politics, communities and organizations. Together, let's all be part of the solution. We must change. We must evolve to collective wisdom through inclusion and respect,” said David Savage.

He adds, “This is an invitation (the book) to engage with people who care about subjects and questions that matter to you and your organization. Your circle or team will be most successful in solving significant challenges when you bring in others whose opinions and experiences are very different from yours. We can no longer afford “groupthink” or “yes men.” The stakes are high. We must invite in the First Nations, the environmentalists, the Americans, the Asians, the youth, the wise women and all. We must embrace conflict. We will create a healthy, inclusive and sustainable future together.”

David Savage offers ten steps to heading a company in the right direction.

  • Set Intentions - Declare your honest purpose
  • Be Aware - Engage others with an open heart
  • Embrace Conflict - Seek out those who speak out
  • Seek Diversity - Bring in many perspectives
  • Design the Collaboration - Imagine success and create the right container
  • Come Together - Engage with respect and trust
  • Listen Deeply - Realize what wants to be heard but is not spoken
  • Collaborate with Vision - Tap into the collective wisdom
  • Lead with purpose and accountability
  • Make it So - Positively change the energy and the future together

Break Through To Yes is available at local book stores and on-line at booksellers like Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
