Cranbrook library celebrates opening seven days a week

by

It's time to celebrate at the Cranbrook Public Library as the library introduces seven-days-a-week opening. One of the few libraries in B.C.—and the only library in the Kootenays—that is open all throughout the week, the Cranbrook Public Library is excited to announce that the library is now open Mondays, bringing in a new era of being open seven days a week.

The library board and staff are excited about the new prospect of serving the community better by being open on Mondays, as well as the rest of the week. Monday opening has been a priority of the library for a number of years. The new opening was included in the new City of Cranbrook budget and goes into effect on Monday, September 10, 2012.

The Cranbrook Public Library will hold a celebration September 10th, Monday morning at 8:50 a.m. for an official launch of the new seven-day hours of operation. Refreshments will be served, and everyone is invited to attend.
