The chance to learn about western horsemanship in a real dude ranch environment is just one of the exciting opportunities in the new COTR Continuing Education guide.

The Cranbrook/Kimberley Fall 2012 Continuing Education guide will soon be arriving in mailboxes throughout both communities. As always, it is full of fun and practical opportunities for almost every interest.

Continuing education programmer, Danette Polzin, said, “In addition to the usual selection of first aid and safety, online business, bookkeeping, computer, language and photography courses we have some exciting new options available including art, cooking and natural-living classes.”

“We are also thrilled to welcome two-time Olympian and leader of the Kimberley Happiness Project, Ingrid Liepa, to the Cranbrook campus,” Polzin continued. “She will be providing a one-day workshop on happiness.”

Budding sommeliers can benefit from a partnership between the Cranbrook campus and the world-renowned International Sommelier Guild, a leader in wine education. This partnership provides the chance for students to learn about wine fundamentals online from the comfort of their own home.

The Kimberley campus also has two new and exciting partnerships to announce. The first, with Three Bars Guest Ranch, has led to an Introduction to western horsemanship course. This is a great opportunity for would-be cowboys and cowgirls to spend a week in an authentic dude ranch environment.

A thrilling travel education series is the result of the Kimberley campus’ partnership with Langara College. This amazing opportunity will allow participants to head overseas on a Galapagos Eco Tour, to explore Turkey or to take part in a Cuban or Death Valley photography workshop.

For more information or to register for a class call the Cranbrook campus at 250-489-8242 or the Kimberley campus at 250-427-7116 ext. 3752. If you are looking for a course and can’t find it, give continuing education a call and let them know—they might just add it to next semester’s program.
