College welcomes international delegation

College of the Rockies continues to solidify its strong commitment and connection with international development and education projects/partnerships. 

Last week the College of the Rockies President and CEO, David Walls, welcomed Mr. Afridon Mkhomoi and Mr. Magu Mabelele from the Shinyanga Vocational Educational Training Authority (VETA) in Tanzania. College of the Rockies, in partnership with the College of New Caledonia, is working with VETA to help to improve Heavy Duty Mechanics curriculum in Tanzania.

While in Canada and the East Kootenay, Mr. Mkhomoi and Mr. Mabelele visited the College’s Heavy Mechanical program and facilities, met with instructors and participated in a curriculum development workshop.
