Here's a couple of items of note from the College of the Rockies:

Jeep Donation from Alpine Toyota:

College of the Rockies Automotive Service Technician (AST) students Roger Blackmore and Cameron Birch practice their skills on a 2010 Jeep Compass SUV, generously donated to the College by Alpine Toyota. Alpine Toyota has been a strong supporter of the AST program, both in hiring students from the foundations program as well as working with the College to support their apprenticeship programs.

Disaster Simulation:

College of the Rockies Bachelor of Science in Nursing students took part in a disaster simulation in mid-March. Coordinated by third year students Jamie Corbett and Carly Buck, the simulation saw second-year BSN students act as “patients” affected by a mock gas tank explosion. Third year students jumped into action to “treat” the casualties. The simulation was a great learning experience, helped tremendously by the participation of Scott Driver, Deputy Director of Cranbrook Fire and Emergency Services who volunteered his time at the event.
