College of the Rockies will be hosting a post-secondary fair on Wednesday, October 12 from 7:00 to 8:30 pm.

Andra Louie, College of the Rockies Recruitment Officer, says, “For anyone looking at post-secondary options in BC, this is a great chance to learn not only about what institutions are available but also about starting at College of the Rockies before transferring elsewhere to complete a credential.”

The Canadian Armed Forces will be on hand to provide information about their education options alongside post-secondary institutions including the University of British Columbia, Okanagan College, University of Northern British Columbia, Thompson Rivers University and the University of Victoria.

“The College has dual admission and guaranteed admission agreements in place with UVIC,” Louie continues.  “These agreements mean that Arts or Science students can complete the first two years of their university studies at College of the Rockies and then move directly into their guaranteed seat in the third year of selected programs at the University of Victoria. This is a terrific way for students to save money while still receiving the education they desire.”

Louie and other College representatives will be on hand to provide information on certificate, diploma and degree programs offered at the College as well as transfer options, financial aid, student housing and more. The fair will take place in the front entrance of the Cranbrook main campus.  Refreshments will be available.
