The gaming centre project, worth more than $6.5 million, is well underway at the north end of the Castlegar airport.

The main developer and owner is Cranbrook-based Terrim Properties and it’s principlal Terry Segarty. Overseeing the construction is Langley-based Berezan Management Ltd. Castlegar mayor Lawrence Chernoff, who has been quoted as saying, “he's enthusiastic about the potential of the project.”

The BC Lottery Corporation (BCLC) announced in 2007 that the new gaming centre would in fact be a reality for Castlegar. The gaming centre anticipates creating 60 new jobs in the community, and the projected opening time is summer of 2011.
