Kootenay Business magazine, partnered with the Cranbrook and District Chamber of Commerce and College of the Rockies, created the new Business Administration Entrance Awards worth $1,300, in conjunction with the annual Career and Job Fair held each spring at the college.

The first recipient of this new award, Kjol Bjordal of Cranbrook, was honoured at the recent Cranbrook Chamber of Commerce luncheon. To qualify, the applicant must be entering full time into the Business Admin program at the college in the fall of 2011 with the intention of achieving (at minimum) a diploma in any major.

This award is based on a combination of scholastic achievement and financial need. The individual must have completed at least one secondary school business course.

Congratulation to Kjol Bjordal from everyone at Kootenay Business, the Chamber and the College.
