Calgary ad agency to create new Radium Hot Springs brand

The Village of Radium Hot Springs in B.C. has given Calgary agency Twist the go-ahead to develop its first community brand and marketing plan.

Mark Read, chief administrative officer for the southeastern B.C. tourist community, said Twist was selected because of its branding and business development experience with other B.C. and Alberta municipalities. Twist specializes in destination and community marketing, and has a client list that includes Lillooet and Castlegar, B.C. and Chestermere, Medicine Hat and Carstairs, Alberta.

The Village of Radium Hot Springs first hired Twist in 2010 to help with a community development project. Impressed by the agency’s performance, the municipality finalized a contract in October 21 to have them create its first community brand.

“As part of that they will be helping us develop our tourism marketing campaign, plus working on our economic development plan that aims at attracting new people and businesses,” said Read.
