An evening of excellence recognizes Cranbrook businesses

East Kootenay Realty Realtor, Jason Wheeldon, is Cranbrook's 2011 Business Person of the Year.

The Cranbrook and District Chamber of Commerce held their annual awards banquet Saturday, March 5, at the Heritage Inn in Cranbrook. A sold-out crowd attended an evening of entertainment and excellence.

Here’s a list of the winners:

  • Most Improved Business Image Award: Hot Shots Café
  • Retail Business of the Year: The Paw Shop
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit Award: The Playpen
  • Marketer of the Year Award: Elizabeth Lake Lodge
  • Customer Service Excellence Award: Heritage Inn Catering
  • Company of the Year Award: (1-15): Hot Shots Café
  • Company of the Year Award: (16+) The Drive and B-104 Radio Stations
  • Newsmaker of the Year Award: Hockeyville
  • Business Person of the Year Award: Jason Wheeldon, Realtor
