Amber Hayes is the principal of Rossland business Getting Online, and she will be the keynote speaker at the Kootenay i-Tech Trade Show & Luncheon happening in Nelson and Cranbrook on May 25 and 26, 2011. Hayes, an experienced speaker, specializes in business coaching and innovation consulting.

Hayes is excited to be involved in this first-ever trade show in the Kootenays. She said that as an ambassador for technology in the area, she will be coaching the audience on the opportunities and challenges in the new technological world, firstly outlining trends in the Kootenays and then beyond.

“Technology and social media are critical tools in business, but wading through it all is hard,” she said. “Businesses are pressured by all that is out there and feel pressured to optimize it.”

Hayes said that the options may be overwhelming and all may not be appropriate for every business. She hopes to break down the massive spectrum of opportunity relevant to the various demographics of the audience and will identify key points and action items that can be taken home and implemented.
