There are many stores along the 7th Avenue strip in Invermere to satisfy a shopper’s passion for fashion, and adding to that is the new clothing shop Her Public. Her Public’s doors first opened officially on July 1, 2011, and new stock is still arriving.

Her Public offers brands and designs for those who crave a different flair to their wardrobe. Owner Sharma Yawrenko describes the mini-boutique as urban, with trendy and alternative clothes, shoes and accessories displayed on the walls and hangers within the shop. Anything from tank tops, tees, jeans and dresses, to leggings, sunglasses, jewellery, shoes and bags can be found in the store.

This is Yawrenko’s second clothing store endeavour; she is also owner and operator of Plain Wayne & Jane Boutique in Golden, B.C., an hour north of Invermere.

The new shop exudes a breezy, open feel, with a wide interior and simple but effective display tables and stands showcasing the hip and unique products on hand. Customers can expect to leave with the contents of their wallet still fairly intact—Her Public’s products are as affordable as they are stylish.

Yawrenko said that as the seasons change, Her Public will have product lines to reflect the changing fashion scene and temperatures—all while keeping prices and sales local-friendly.

For more information about Her Public, call 250-341-3337. Her Public is located at 901 - 7th Avenue in Invermere, just down from Mei Mei’s Oriental Market.
