Highest and Lowest Gas Prices in the Kootenays – BC Day August Long Weekend

Here is a complete list of gas prices across the Kootenay region.

The 2018 BC Day August long weekend is upon us. So where are the highest and lowest gas prices in the Kootenays? At the time of our survey Golden and Revelstoke again had the highest price per litre at $1.49.9. Nelson, Castlegar. Trail, Cranbrook and Sparwood all have seen their price per litre drop from the last long weekend. Whereas gas prices in Radium Hot Springs, Invermere and Grand Forks have jumped.

The lowest gas prices we found were $1.39.9 per litre in Fernie and Creston, both towns located along busy Highway #3. Both Sparwood and Castlegar saw gas prices drop the most since the July long weekend, prices were down 8 cents a litre. Grand Forks saw the biggest increase in gas prices since the July long weekend jumping 6 cents a litre.

Golden: Highest price $1.49.9, lowest price $1.49.9 (unchanged)

Radium Hot Springs: Highest price $1.49.9, lowest price $1.45.9 (+3 cents a litre)

Revestoke: Highest price $1.49.9, lowest price $1.45.9 (unchanged)

Nakusp: Highest price $1.49.9, lowest price $1.49.9 (July price, no current prices available)

Trail: Highest price $1.48.9, lowest price $1.41.7 ( -1 cent a litre)

Invermere: Highest price $1.46.9, lowest price $1.44.5 (+3 cents a litre)

Kaslo: Highest price $1.45.9, lowest price $1.45.9 (July price, no current prices available)

Grand Forks: Highest price $1.44.9, lowest price $1.44.9 (+6 cents a litre)

Salmo: Highest price $1.43.9, lowest price $143.9 (unchanged)

Nelson: Highest price $1.42.9, lowest price $1.42.7 (-7 cents a litre)

Elkford: Highest price $142.9, lowest price $141.9 (unchanged)

Kimberley: Highest price $1.41.9, lowest price $1.41.9 (unchanged)

Cranbrook: Highest price $1.41.9, lowest price $1.41.9 (-4 cents a litre)

Sparwood: Highest price $1.41.9, lowest price $1.39.9 (-8 cents a litre)

Castlegar: Highest price $1.41.7, lowest price $1.41.7 (-8 cents a litre)

Creston: Highest price $1.39.9, lowest price $1.39.9 (unchanged)

Fernie: Highest price $1.39.9, lowest price $139.9 (unchanged)
