A new and improved location

Taylor Adams Chartered Accountants has made a new home from an older building in downtown Cranbrook

After implementing a complete makeover to their building, Trent Taylor and Mike Adams of Taylor Adams Chartered Accountants are settling into a new Cranbrook neighbourhood. The company was looking for a place to own that was near downtown when it found the opportunity to purchase a building on the corner of Ninth Avenue South and First Street South. Before moving in, however, Adams and Taylor decided to put a little effort into improving the building.

It took almost a year, altogether, from when the work was first started, but the building isn’t even recognizable from what it used to be. Taylor and Adams were pleased to move into their remodelled offices early this October, 2013, as they had planned. In addition to the now attractive exterior, everything in the offices upstairs, where Taylor Adams Chartered Accountants is located, has been completely redone.

“We like it,” said Adams. “It gives us more space—more room for growth—and so we’ve been very happy with how it’s turned out.”

Both certified accountants have been working in the Cranbrook area for well over a decade and practise staying active and involved in their community. They enjoy working with small local businesses and helping individuals grow and succeed.

“You just have to look at the views that are around us,” Taylor said to explain what he enjoys about the Cranbrook lifestyle. “You’ve got Baker Mountain out one window and Fisher Peak out the other window. (Everything is so) close, you don’t have to commute. It’s just a beautiful area.”

Taylor and Adams are thankful to their staff who were part of a team effort when it came to moving the office. They are also pleased with the local contractors they used, saying that everyone was excellent to deal with and helped bring the building to the much-improved place it is today. As for those views—they’re enjoying seeing them through brand-new windows.

“I think it’s nice when you hear some of the positive feedback from people in the community about just how good they think the building itself has turned out,” said Adams. “We’re just looking forward to doing more of what we’ve been doing and trying to continue to grow a bit and utilize the space that we have now.”
