Everyone who visits Creston will want to plan a trip to the Creston Valley Wildlife Management Area. This wildlife refuge is also the ideal place to enjoy walks or cross-country skiing treks.

There are more than 30 kilometres of trails that you can follow, taking you on an unforgettable tour through the marshy area surrounding the Wildlife Interpretation Centre.
Another prime destination for cross-country skiing is Summit Creek Park, located just a few minutes west of Creston on Highway 3. The trails here extend into the flatland on the valley floor.

Downhill skiers will enjoy taking a short drive to Salmo, where the Salmo Ski Hill is waiting for you with renowned nighttime skiing opportunities. Creston also has many kilometres of snowmobiling trails maintained by the Kokanee Country Snowmobile Club.

If you prefer indoor recreation, Creston has what you are looking for in that department as well. The Creston & District Community Complex is a deluxe multi-use facility that has recently added a new aquatic centre with several

indoor features that will be open year-round. The complex also includes an arena, a six-sheet curling rink and lounge.
