Visions in art and business
Nicole and Larry Leblond work together promoting artists in the Kootenays
Owners Nicole and Larry Leblond opened Fisher Peak Art Galley and Fine Gifts in Cranbrook in June of 2010. The gallery consists of two floors: the first floor showcases fine gifts and smaller pieces while the upstairs floor expands in a burst of painted images and an array of jaw-dropping sculptures. The gallery represents more than 60 artists and a variety of disciplines.
Nicole, as curator, has visited and successfully solicited artists from all over the Kootenay region; her husband, Larry, works closer to home as the business's administrator and bookkeeper.
While leisure time is a premium commodity for the Leblonds, they fill it spending time with friends and seniors as well as working in the community.
Nicole offers her advice about getting into a new business.
“To make your own way, you’ve got to have vision," she said. "(Your vision) can be easy to lose—you need to keep it. Keep your vision and know what you want.”
