Cranbrook residents will soon have a new choice when it comes to grabbing a quick bite to eat. The site of the new  Wendy’s restaurant is currently a flurry of activity as construction progresses, with plans for the restaurant to open in mid-August.

“Cranbrook is a good location and offers both the restaurant chain and franchise operator opportunity for growth,” writes Michele Liang, field marketing manager for Wendy’s.

During the construction phase, the restaurant is employing between 50 and 70 people, with participation from local trades. Once construction is completed, the restaurant will support 40 staff members.

The Cranbrook location will feature flat-screen TVs, Wi-Fi and a cozy fireplace. Additionally, there will be a drive-thru window for customer convenience.

Wendy's restaurant will be situated on the east end of Cranrook Street North—otherwise known as the Strip—between Willow Appliances and the present location of the Cranbrook Harley-Davidson.
