Kootenay Business presents the 2015 list of the Top Kootenay employers based on number of employees
As 2015 begins, we salute the businesses that appear on our latest list of Top 120 employers. This list, compiled in December 2014, is based on numbers of regular employees in each business. It is encouraging to note that a number of businesses saw a substantial uptick in the number of people they employ, which can only be good news for company owners and employees alike.
Among those who hired more workers last year are Pacific Insight Electronics in Nelson, Downie Timber in Revelstoke, International Forest Products (with operations in Castlegar and Grand Forks), Louisiana Pacific Canada (Golden and Malakwa), Kalesnikoff Lumber in Thrums (just outside of Castlegar), Nelson's Kootenay Country Store Co-op, Selkirk Signs & Services in Cranbrook, Kicking Horse Coffee in Invermere and Brisco Wood Preservers/Brisco Manufacturing in Brisco (near Golden).
