The Slocan Valley Chamber of Commerce is responsible for the Slocan Valley Visitor Centre, which co-locates with the Silvery Slocan Museum in New Denver. — Kerry Shellborn photo

The Slocan Valley Chamber of Commerce began 100 years ago as the Slocan District Board of Trade. The organization became a Chamber of Commerce in the early 1960s.

The mission of the Slocan Valley Chamber of Commerce is to support and promote the Slocan Valley business community. Its vision is a vibrant, diverse and healthy economy that respects the environment and community values of the Slocan Valley.

The Chamber plays a key role in advocacy, tourism and economic development in the community. It is responsible for running the Visitor Centre, which co-locates with the Silvery Slocan Museum and is located at 202 - 6th Avenue in New Denver.
