The year just past has been a busy one for David and Corey Spring, the dealer principals at Spring Honda in Cranbrook. The automotive dealership recently completed a multi-phase expansion program which included doubling the square footage of their service and mechanic repair bays.
“The expansion saw us double our service bays by 1,500 square feet and adding four new hoists, a wheel alignment facility along with tire and wheel department,” said David. “Plus we expanded our vehicle storage capacity with a secure lot on the other side of Joseph Creek.

“The goal of the expansion was to provide our customers with faster service and cut down any wait time for them,” David added. “Our newly expanded service area has allowed us to hire two new technicians as well.”

“We would like to thank our contractors and suppliers who worked so closely with us to complete this expansion.”

Another innovation was the new service and welcoming kiosk on the Spring Honda lot. It is designed to help customers have a superior customer service experience right from the moment they arrive on the lot. As soon as they arrive, an attendant welcomes them to Spring Honda, helps them navigate the check-in process, and provides easy access to parking and the Honda shuttle.

The Springs run one of the Kootenay’s busiest automotive dealerships, selling the ever-popular line of Honda automobiles and premium used vehicles. The dealership garnered a Platinum award in Kootenay Business magazine’s annual Best of Business awards.

Kootenay Honda is the only authorized Honda dealership in the East Kootenay serving the communities of Cranbrook, Kimberley, Invermere, Golden, Fernie, Sparwood, Elkford, Creston and other communities in between.

David and Corey come from a long and highly respected automotive family. They continue to mirror and instill these family values into all departments of their business whether it be sales and leasing, service, financing, parts and accessories, cleaning and detailing, or used vehicles.

Kootenay Honda has some of the most experienced people in the local automotive market, ready and willing to help customers with all their automotive needs.  The Spring family has been providing automotive services to the Kootenays for decades and they are proud to continue the tradition.

Another key to Kootenay Honda’s success has been their high-profile and greatly appreciated community involvement. For example, they sponsor many community events and charities including the annual East Kootenay Fun Run every spring.

Whether you are in the market for a new Honda automobile product like the Accord, Civic, Fit or Pilot or you are looking for a quality, certified used vehicle, stop by Spring Honda today.

Prompted by increased demand, Spring Honda has just completed a major expansion of its service facilities at its Cranbrook -based dealership.

“2103 was a record-setting sales year for us at Spring Honda.  We had an all-time record in sales, with over 300 new Honda vehicles sold; this meant we needed more space to service our customers properly and keep them on the road,” said David Spring, one of the dealer principals.

With the dramatic increase in Honda vehicles being sold in the East Kootenay, this prompted the expansion of the service bays by 1,800 square feet and the addition of four new service hoists.  This allowed the Springs to look after their increasing number of customers more promptly, efficiently and with the quickest turn-around time possible.

Leiman Construction, a local building contractor, acted as the general contractor on the project.  Both David and Corey Spring were impressed by the quality work done by the contractors and suppliers.

“We would like to thank everyone involved in the recent expansion of our service bays.  We are pleased with the outcome and know it will help us service the needs of our customers even better,” said Corey Spring, the other dealer principal at Spring Honda.

The busy authorized Honda dealership now has 28 employees. With the expansion comes new employment opportunities, which include two new technicians, a service greeter, a parts adviser and a fixed-operations manager.

Since taking over the dealership in January of 2011, both Corey and David Spring feel their success and expansion have been a result of investing in their people, their customers and the community.

Spring Honda was the No. 1 selling import automobile dealership in the East Kootenay for the last two years. It’s Corey and David Spring’s commitment to continue to be a leader in the import automotive sector in the Kootenays—with a focus on their customers’ satisfaction by providing everyone at Spring Honda a winning automotive buying and service experience.
