Recycling is a big component of Teck Trail's operations, as it works with local companies like Toxco and KC Recycling. There are four main areas of recycling at Teck Trail.

1)      Electronic waste recycling: 50,000 tonnes were recycled in 2011.
2)      Lead acid recycling: Has been recycling the metal from batteries for over 25 years.
3)      Zinc: Teck has developed a tested recycling process for zinc.
4)      New initiative: Fluorescent tubes will be recycled in the future.
