There is a new face behind the executive desk at Cranbrook's CIBC branch. Sylvianne Roy is the new branch manager.

Her banking experience comes from the Laurentian Bank in Blainville, Quebec, where she worked as manager from 2011 to 2014. Roy has been in Western Canada for just 20 months. She spent those months as manager of the Bank of Commerce in Fernie, before arriving in Cranbrook on March 24 this year to take up the position of manager at the CIBC on Baker Street.

Roy told Kootenay Business that she has focused intently on her career from its beginning. She is enjoying Cranbrook’s sunshine, friendly people and convenient location. She loves the outdoors and looks forward to enjoying the activities available nearby.

Roy was recently introduced and welcomed to Cranbrook at the local Chamber of Commerce's luncheon.
