Premier John Horgan was sworn in as the 36th Premier of British Columbia on Tuesday July 18, 2017, along with a new provincial government cabinet.

The cabinet consists of 20 ministers and two ministers of state. In addition, six MLAs have been named as parliamentary secretaries. Two ministers are from the Kootenays, Minister of Children and Family Development – Hon. Katrine Conroy and Minister of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources – Hon. Michelle Mungall.
