Dianna Ducs is the new executive director of Nelson/Kootenay Lake Tourism.

"Working with Nelson/Kootenay Lake Tourism is a wonderful opportunity for me. It’s an honour to promote an area I love more than anywhere else in the world, and to work with local people to help promote their businesses through all sorts of interesting collaborative marketing initiatives," said Ducs. "For everyone between Nelson, Balfour, Kaslo and Meadow Creek, tourism is a powerful and vital part of the economy. My marketing mission is to promote Nelson/Kootenay Lake’s many attributes to communities outside the region, province, and country—to get people excited about visiting the area, and to compel them to stay a few nights, a week or even an entire season."

She continues, "There’s such an abundance of activities to take in—incomparably unique shopping and accommodations, authentic culture and art, world-class adventure sport, history, spas, dining tastes from around the world and events through the year. With our new brand, marketing partnership initiatives underway and a diverse board of directors from throughout the Nelson Kootenay Lake region, it’s a very exciting time for us, and for everyone who’s coming to vacation here. Come see it, tee it and ski it!"
