The Nelson Independent Co-workers Collective has taken a big step forward in just a few weeks.

They have now nailed down an office space in the area formerly occupied by The Building Tree. Across from All Seasons Cafe in Herridge Lane, there are currently six cubicle-style desks, a kitchen, bathroom and conference room. They will be adding four more work stations for a total of ten stations.

There will be two tiers of space usage available:

  • Dedicated (desk is not shared, can leave possessions there)
  • Shared (ratio of floaters will be max 2:1, they will have a system to book and/or check availability)

Everyone who signs up will get a key, so they will have 24/7 access. The company will be looking for a three-month commitment on sign-up.

Here are some photos of the set-up on flickr.com.

Of course it will be a bit different when the inventory is out of there (by end of this month). They are looking for people to move in starting in August.
