East Kootenay Influential Women In Business Awards 2012 Winner: Cynthia Levagood, owner/operator Smoking Water Coffee Co., Fairmont Hot Springs, B.C.

Nominee comments: "Cindy has done an amazing job with the cafe since taking ownership. She is an active board member of iCan, a local animal adoption centre and is active in the Fairmont Business Association. She is well respected and is known as the person who can make things happen."

Kootenay Business was pleased to launch a new awards program to recognize and salute the outstanding accomplishments of Kootenay women in business. This new program is called The 2012 Influential Women in Business Awards.

A call for nominations went out earlier in the year and dozens of women were nominated. Kootenay Business would like to congratulate all the nominees and the winners.

The winners and nominees were recognized at the recent Kootenay i-Tech Trade Show and Luncheon in Nelson and Cranbrook.
