Greg Garbula, 16-year veteran GM at Kokanee Spring departs.

"It is time to go in a new direction," said Greg Garbula, Kokanee Springs GM. "I find it a great privilege to have been part of it (Kokanee Springs) as long as I have."

In a message to friends and colleagues Greg Garbula said:

"It is with great sentiment that I send this message to inform everyone of my pending departure from Kokanee Springs effective September 30th, after sixteen years of fabulous experiences, it is time to go in a new direction. Kokanee Springs has (had) a remarkable story since its inception in 1968 and I find it a great privilege to have been part of it for as long as I have. As was the case when I arrived, Kokanee is moving forward in new directions and it is rewarding to see it strive towards its full potential.

"Kokanee Springs is blessed with some of the most beautiful scenery and natural surroundings this province can provide and has created a golf course without equal. However, it is the people that defined the success of the resort. Without exception the greatest compliments and positive feedback that I have received over the years has always been what great people we have had in our employ and in our community.

"You all, in many ways, have been part of my professional development and my family's growth and achievements over the many years and I am very grateful to everyone for these experiences, whether it be friends, our long-time customers or our business partners, your support and friendship has been greatly appreciated.

"I have been privileged and proud to be able to say I have been a part of this group, and in some way the progress of the resort, and I look forward to continuing my friendships and associates for many years to come.

"I will be available for the new management company to advise and provide expertise as to the histories and evolution in order to ensure Kokanee’s success going forward.

"I thank you all for the great times and great accomplishments that we have achieved and look forward to the next path that I am departing on."
