Ken Fisher, Chief Operating Officer, at the Canadian Rockies Hot Springs which is an operating unit of the Parks Canada Agency, has announced his retirement effective Friday, July 4th, 2014.

Ken had a 30-year career with Parks Canada primarily based out of Kootenay National Park. In recent years he has been the COO of the three hot springs enterprises operated by Parks Canada in the Rockies, namely Radium, Banff and Miette (near Jasper).

There had been an announcement by Parks Canada that the Hot Springs were destined to be privatized though it would appear this has been delayed indefinitely.

Ken Fisher, is also a long time director (over 20 years) with the regional Kootenay Rockies Tourism association and holds the post of vice-chair.

We wish Ken Fisher the very best in his retirement from Parks Canada.
