Longtime employee and manager of indoor operations and marketing at Whitewater Ski Resort near Nelson, Anne Pigeon, is no longer with the popular West Kootenay ski resort. Anne is 24-year veteran at the resort and was an active leader in tourism promotion on both a local and provincial level. Of particular note was her initiative called the Whitewater Marketing Consortium which brought together a number of local Nelson ski hospitality operators, retailers and accommodators.

Whitewater Resort was purchased in 2008 by Knee Deep Developments, from the husband and wife team of Mike and Shelley Adams who had owned the resort since the early 1990's. Knee Deep Developments has invested significantly in the resort in recent years.

Anne Pigeon was the director of indoor operations and marketing, a position she shared with Kirk Jensen, who was director of outdoor operations at Whitewater. Anne was also a long time director and current vice-chair of Kootenay Rockies Tourism, a position she has resigned now that she is no longer at Whitewater Resort.

We wish Anne Pigeon much success in the future and wouldn't be surprised to see her surface in another marketing position in the future.
