Enhanced schedule for Trail-Vancouver route

by

Pacific Coastal Airlines is pleased to announce the addition of new flights and significant schedule improvements to its Trail-Vancouver route effective Tuesday, April 10, 2012. The implementation date of these changes coincides with the six-year anniversary of Pacific Coastal Airlines operation at the Trail Airport.

The Richmond, B.C.-based company opened its operation in Trail on Monday, April 10, 2006, offering a single flight from Vancouver seven days a week. Strong local support and growing passenger numbers led to the addition of a second weekday flight about six months later, on October 2, 2006.

Since that time, Pacific Coastal has continued to grow and the regional airline now provides regularly scheduled flights to more than 65 destinations in British Columbia, as well as cargo and charter services across western Canada.

“The additional flights and schedule enhancements reflect increasing passenger numbers and the proven stability of the Trail market over the past six years,” said Spencer Smith, Pacific Coastal Airlines’ vice-president of commercial services.

The new schedule was designed to provide the residents of Trail, Rossland and the West Kootenay region with more travel options and greater convenience, especially with the addition of a second flight on Saturday and a third flight every day from Sunday to Friday.

A later departure time from Trail to Vancouver at 18:20 from Sunday to Friday will provide local customers with an opportunity to finish their work day before heading to the airport, and is the latest departure time offered by any airline in the region.

“Our partnership with the people and the communities we serve is extremely important to us," said Smith. ”We’re thankful for the support we have received over the past six years and are proud to be your local airline.”
