SMART Launch 5-day Skills Training Employment Program

SMART Launch is running a special 5-day, virtual, group-based edition of our program from August 16th to August 20th. This employment readiness boot camp will help you learn everything you need to know in order to find your next job. Morning, virtual group-based activities are mixed with independent learning and one-on-one support until you find employment. SMART Launch boot camp participants will have access to free training like FoodSafe and First Aid. Following completion of the program, participants will receive ongoing one-on-one support from our Program Facilitator. Participants may apply for the program independently, meaning no WorkBC attachment is required.

Topics covered in the boot camp include identifying skills and strengths, networking, personal branding/marketing, hidden labour market, cover letter, resume, and interview skills. Participants who complete the program receive a $350 completion bonus!

Eligibility:

  • 17-29 years old
  • Unemployed, underemployed or precariously employed
  • Not enrolled in school full-time
  • Lives locally
  • Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Person with Refugee Status
