Lisa “Longball” to host ladies’ golf clinic at St. Eugene

St. Eugene Resort is thrilled to announce a Ladies’ Clinic and Lunch on Wednesday, June 22, hosted by eight-time Long Drive National Champion Lisa ‘Longball’ Vlooswyk.

Designed to help attendees improve their understanding of the game and their overall technique, the event will feature live demonstrations by Vlooswyk. Following the clinic, she and Cindy Soukoroff, the resort's head golf pro, will host a catered lunch reception featuring a motivational presentation by Vlooswyk.

“We are thrilled to bring Lisa and her world-class golf clinic to our resort,” said Soukoroff. “This is the perfect opportunity for women who golf at any level to refresh their game and enjoy our beautiful course.”

“I am so excited to come to the beautiful St. Eugene Resort and meet all of the wonderful women in the area. My goal is to have everyone leave my session with tips and tricks on hitting the golf ball longer, straighter and with more confidence,” said Vlooswyk. “First, the ladies will learn new skills to bring to their physical game, whether they’re beginners or single digit players. Then in my talk, I will share my story of how I went from a high handicap recreational golfer to ranked Number 2 in the world. My presentation will serve to motivate and inspire audience members to find their best games that season.”

Tickets for the event are $109 + tax, with additional stay-and-play packages available for those who would like to try out their new skills on the course or the range afterwards.

Lisa 'Longball' Vlooswyk is an 8-time Canadian Long Drive Champion, LDA Tour Champion and a Callaway Golf sponsored athlete. Her top finish at the World Championships is second place.

A proudly Indigenous-owned and operated resort, a portion of the ticket sales for the Ladies’ Clinic and Lunch will go to the Ktunaxa Friendship Centre to support their programming and services.

The championship course at St. Eugene Resort is nestled within the Kootenays, offering golfers spectacular views of the Rocky Mountains, St. Mary River and more. After two years of reduced operations and events due to the pandemic, the resort opened its regular season on April 1, 2022.
