With you from concept to completion

Seib Contracting specializes in high-end custom homes

by Lisa Crane

Seib's Contracting, a popular building company in Trail, prides itself on its unique services.

Owner Greg Seib has been in Trail since he was three. His family moved from Alberta for work and stayed. Seib said he couldn't imagine being anywhere else.
He followed in his father's footsteps and became a carpenter and cabinet maker.

“My family is huge,” said Seib. “All of my uncles and cousins are all tradespeople of some type, and I inherited the gene.”

A great team is the key to success, said Seib.

“I have a couple of guys guys that care about my business like it's their own,” he said. “I couldn't do what I do without them.”

The company focuses on residential and light commercial work.

“We specialize in custom high-end homes,” said Seib. “Being in a small community, we know how important it is to do a good job. Everything that we do is skilled and we like to be doing the best possible work that we can, all the time.”

Seib likes to call it building from concept to completion.

“We are there from the beginning to the end,” he said, “from helping people draw up the plans, clearing the trees off the lot, to putting the last paver in the driveway.”

His company recently built a Rossland property that achieved a platinum level Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) award.

“The colour green is definitely coming into effect,” said Seib.

Seib's company sponsors the minor hockey program in Trail as well as Trail gymnastics. Seib finds Trail to be a very supportive community, where residents look out for each other. He finds the town suits his family.

“I grew up here, and I want my kids to have the same thing,” said Seib. “There are lots of opportunities for the kids to play any sports they want, and the schools around here are high quality with excellent teachers.”
